Simply Women is an integrated all-female Specialist Women’s Health Centre.

We can provide care while planning your pregnancy, during pregnancy and postnatally, as well as catering for the majority of your Gynaecological needs including Colposcopy and operative Gynaecology.

We offer in-house 3D/4D growth ultrasound scans for our obstetric patients. We also offer telehealth appointments for your convenience.

Meet our team… 

Dr Kym Jones

BAppSC (MRT)  PostgradDIPAPPSc (US)  MBBS  FRANZCOG  DDU

Dr Kym Jones is a West Australian-trained Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).

Dr Kym has been involved in women’s health since the early 90s, initially working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound in Queensland before moving to WA. Kym worked as senior and tutor Sonographer at King Edward Memorial Hospital before making the decision to embark on her medical career, studying at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle.

At the time of completing her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology (FRANZCOG) in WA, Dr Kym also completed the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound enabling her to work as a specialist in that field.

Dr Kym maintains a public specialist position within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Joondalup Health Campus and has a special interest in gynaecological ultrasound and gestational diabetes. She has an advisory role with HeraMED (Connected Maternity Care).

Dr Kym is happy to see you for:

  • Specialist private obstetric care, including in-house fetal growth scans (including 3D/4D scanning)
  • Early pregnancy including threatened miscarriage, confirmed miscarriage and early pregnancy care
  • Vaginal and Caesarean section deliveries
  • Shared-care for obstetric patients living in the country
  • Managing medical conditions in pregnancy, including pregnancy after bariatric surgery and gestational diabetes
  • Gynaecology, including management of abnormal cervical screening, Colposcopy, postmenopausal bleeding, menopause, office and minor operative gynaecology, including laparoscopy, contraception and menorrhagia (heavy periods)

Dr Kym lives locally and enjoys spending time at home with her children and their many pets, including her beloved pugs! Maybe one day she may even finish doing up her Volkswagen Kombi camper!

Dr Rashida Hakeem

MBBS DGO FCPS (O&G) FRANZCOG 

Dr Rashida Hakeem graduated in Mumbai (India) in 2005 and completed her specialist training in KEMH Mumbai in 2010. Rashida then moved to Australia and worked in WA, Tasmania and NSW and achieved her FRANZCOG qualification. During her training in Australia, Rashida successfully completed advanced training modules of Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic surgery, Colposcopy and pelvic floor disorders. Rashida is currently doing her Masters of Reproductive Medicine. Rashida’s areas of special interest are Fertility and Gynaecology.

Rashida is multi-linguistic and fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Urdu. She is passionate about delivering quality healthcare to culturally and linguistically diverse women, in the most sensitive manner.

Outside of work she loves to paint, craft, cook and enjoy being a mum.

Dr Jean Yap

MBBS (Hons)  FRANZCOG  MClinMed (L&Mgt)

Dr Jean Yap is WA trained Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist with a special interest in office gynaecology, colposcopy, and operative laparoscopy. She is a holistic, passionate, and empathetic O&G who aims to provide best care for her patients.

Jean undertook her medical education at the University of Western Australia. She subsequently conducted specialist training at multiple metropolitan and rural centres, including King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), Joondalup Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital, Bunbury Hospital and Albany Hospital. She has also worked at regional sites around NSW and Victoria.

In addition to Simply Women, Jean is a consultant O&G at KEMH. She is also a training supervisor, regularly providing teaching and mentorship to her junior colleagues.

Originally from Malaysia, Jean embraces the roles of culture and respect in everything that she does. She strives to deliver the most comprehensive care for all her patients, to the best of her abilities.

When not at work, she is a foodie, traveller, and enjoys the simple things in life with her wife.

Dr Maria Kladnitski

Maria was born in Russia in the amazing city of St Petersburg. She graduated from one of the oldest and most well-respected medical schools, The Pavlov Medical Academy in 1989.

This year Maria celebrates 35 years of dedication to Women’s health in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

The journey was not always easy, it included immigration to New Zealand with a young family, additional exams and studies.

Maria worked in Wellington, Palmerston North, and Hawkes Bay hospitals in New Zealand, where she successfully completed RANZCOG training program and became a specialist. Maria then moved to Sydney’s Sant Vincent’s hospital to complete further training in advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery and Urogynaecology.

Maria moved to WA in February 2016 and started at Joondalup Hospital as a staff specialist. In 2017-2018 she completed her master’s degree in Reproductive Endocrinology at UNSW and joined Fertility North Clinic.

Maria has special interest in urogynaecology, pelvic pain, endometriosis and infertility, colposcopy and vulvar disease. She offers medical and surgical treatments, including general gynaecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery and treatment of endometriosis.

Dr Jana Combrinck

MBBS (Hon) FRACGP DRANZCOG DCH

Dr Jana Combrinck is passionate about all aspects of Women’s health, from the transformative stages of puberty and pregnancy to the complex challenges of menopause and beyond.

After graduating from the University of Western Australia she completed her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Joondalup Health Campus before entering into specialist training in General practice and obtaining her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is an accredited youth friendly doctor and has obtained her Diploma of Child Health.

Jana has a special interest in assisting women suffering from endometriosis and couple’s struggling with fertility issues. She is a member of the Fertility Society of Australia as well as the Australian Menopause Society. She has a genuine concern for her patients’ well-being and strives to create a safe space where concerns are heard and solutions are tailored to each patients individual needs. Jana is also experienced in IUD insertion and removal.

When she is not at work, Jana keeps busy with her two lively young boys.

Dr Celia Worth

BSc, BComm, MBBS, DRANZCOG Adv, FRACGP

Dr Celia Worth is a mother of three young children and is a GP obstetrician who works across various sites in Perth as both a general and obstetric practitioner. After completing her medical degree in 2008 she discovered her interest in women’s health and went on to complete five years of speciality training in obstetrics and gynaecology. In 2017 Celia made the difficult decision to leave obstetric specialist training to focus on her family and followed her husband back to Perth. Since that time, she has re-specialised in general practice and obtained her advanced diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Celia has a special passion for fertility as this journey has been close to her own heart.

Celia currently works as a senior O&G registrar at Joondalup hospital, a GP Obstetrician at Western Obstetrics delivering at Osborne Park hospital, a GP at SJOG Midland Emergency and a GP at Mead Medical. Ultimately, her dream is to continue working in all areas of women’s health and use her skills in intrapartum care while advocating for women in both a rural/remote and metro setting.

Dr Ranjita Bains

MBBS, MS Obs & Gynae, DRANZCOG Adv, FRACGP

Dr Ranjita Bains is a Women’s health GP with over a decade of experience. She is very passionate about all aspects of women’s health and loves to listen to her patients. Ranjita has worked at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus in the past few years and more recently at Newpark Medical Centre.

Ranjita has a special interest in Fertility consultations, Prenatal Care, Antenatal Care, Early Pregnancy Care, Shared Care in pregnancy up to 36 weeks and Postnatal Care. Ranjita also offers contraceptive advice including Mirena insertion and removal and is well-known for her expertise in menopause and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).

Other than speaking English, Ranjita can also converse in Hindi and Punjabi. She has an amazing demeanour with a charming personality and patients find it very easy to talk to her.

Ranjita is a mother of two beautiful little girls and loves spending time with them outside of work.

Delmarie (Endorsed Midwife)

Delmarie has had the pleasure of working with women and families as a midwife for 25 years, obtaining her qualification as midwife/nurse in South Africa. Delmarie and her family moved to Australia in 2008 and to further her career, Delmarie  completed her Midwifery Endorsement in 2019.

Delmarie believes that pregnancy, birth and parenting are some of the most important times in a woman’s life and she takes great pride in supporting her patients and their families through their individual journeys.

In her free time, Delmarie loves spending time with her husband and gorgeous daughter, enjoying the outdoors and spending as much time as she can with friends.

Brooke

Brooke

Registered Nurse

Brooke has over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, specialising in paediatrics, maternal health and clinical research. She is currently completing her PhD, focusing on exploring innovative approaches to antenatal and postnatal care.

Brooke is passionate about improving maternal and neonatal health, as well as optimising healthcare delivery. She also works as a registered nurse at Joondalup Health Campus.

Outside of work her three children keep her on her toes. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and sharing adventurous travel experiences with them.

Cheryl

Practice Manager

Cheryl started her career in the UK as a Medical Secretary with the NHS before moving to Perth in 2010. She continued her career in Australia by training as a Cardiac Technician, working with several Cardiologists before making the move back into administration and into Obstetrics & Gynaecology. While Cheryl was working as a Senior Clerk with Dr Jones in the O&G Ultrasound clinic at Joondalup Health Campus, she completed her double diploma of Medical Practice Management and Business Administration, enabling her to gain valuable knowledge in medical management. Cheryl has extensive clerical knowledge in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and oversees the running of Simply Women, looking after both the clinical and clerical staff.

When she is not working, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, football (the round ball version!) and the outdoors.

Emma

Emma

Receptionist

Emma is also one of our Medical Receptionists working at Simply Women. Emma worked in Hospital Healthcare in the UK for over 14 years as a Medical Secretary and Co-ordinator and since moving to Western Australia, has worked in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Emma is a busy Mum to her ‘miracle’ teenage daughter and shares a personal interest in Fertility and IVF.

Denise

Receptionist

Denise started her career in Medical Administration in UK, working on the National Cervical Screen recall service before migrating to Australia where she met Peter. After she got married Denise took time out to be mum to her three girls and migrated to the USA for five years.

Upon returning to Australia, Denise worked as a Medical Receptionist, before being promoted to 2iC in the After Hours GP clinic at Joondalup Health Campus. After eight years, Denise became the Senior Medical Receptionist in the Antenatal clinic at Joondalup Health Campus.

In her spare time, Denise enjoys spending time with family and friends. 
Her interests include knitting, Reiki and getting back to nature with camping.
